Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) enhances the quality of life of children and adults by building on individuals' unique strengths and creating supportive environments that encourage positive interactions and self-expression.

In collaboration with your team, we develop a customised plan that reflects a deep understanding of your aspirations and objectives. This plan emphasises fostering positive experiences and supportive environments, allowing individuals to thrive and engage meaningfully. By identifying and addressing the factors that may lead to challenging situations, we create strategies that promote resilience and encourage growth, making those situations less likely to arise.

WHO IS POSITIVE BEHAVIOUR SUPPORT FOR?

PBS services cater to individuals with behavioural support NDIS funding or those supported by a third-party organisation. This service is available for individuals of all age groups.

If you or someone you care about is experiencing behavioural challenges, we offer assistance to encourage more suitable conduct.

OUR PROCESS

Working closely with our team of psychologists, we use an all round collaborative approach to ensure our clients goals and desired outcomes are met.

INITIAL CONSULTATION

We understand that sometimes the first steps are the hardest, which is why we have made our Initial Consultation Process simple and easy.

  1. Fill out our online referral form or send through referral

  2. Admin will be in touch to confirm details

  3. Review and sign the NDIS service agreement and consent forms

  4. Once documents are signed we will book in your initial consultation with our BSP

BEHAVIOUR PLAN DEVELOPMENT

We evaluate your strengths, risks, and goals, checking for any restrictive practices. If we find one, we create a draft Interim Behaviour Support Plan and share it with you and your team for input. Once you're satisfied, we submit it to the NDIS Commission if it involves restrictive practices.

IMPLEMENTATION & CONTINUOUS REVIEW

We offer training and coaching for you, your main support network, and your family. We continuously listen to your feedback, review your information, and adjust the Behaviour Plan accordingly. This plan includes a Functional Behaviour Assessment and:

  • Proactive strategies based on the function of the behaviour, aiming to improve your quality of life. These strategies include environmental adjustments, skill development, and focused approaches.

  • Reactive strategies designed to enhance safety and quickly calm challenging behavior incidents.

  • Data collection systems for ongoing review, which can be accessed through a mobile app or paper forms.

OUTCOME & RECOMMENDATIONS REPORT

At the end of each service, we give you a recommendation letter to assist you in securing the appropriate level of ongoing support from the NDIS. The NDIA requires evidence demonstrating the nature and necessity of your support needs, and we specialise in gathering, analysing, and presenting this evidence. Your behaviour support and lifestyle objectives are well-defined. Working together, we create a plan and develop the necessary skills to achieve these objectives. Your advancement toward these goals is tracked and documented in a report submitted to the NDIA.
